Cheese Biscuits
Needed: 1 jar cheese ( old English sharp is good ), 1 stick butter, 1
cup self -rising flour
Mix cheese and better together well, stir in flour. Form into balls. Place on
cookie sheet.
Refrigerate for 3- 4 hours or even overnight.
Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. They won't brown on the top of them.
In A Hurry French Bread
Needed: 2 ( 10oz. ) packages country style or buttermilk biscuits, 1
eggs white, beaten and sesame seeds
Stand biscuits upright on ungreased cookie sheet. Lightly press them together and shape
ends to form a long loaf
Brush with egg white and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
Bake in oven at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until brown. Serve warm. From OurCirlcleOfFriends.com
Artichoke Dip
needed: 1 (8.5oz) can artichokes( chopped), 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
shredded. 1 cup Parmesan cheeses.
Stir together well and bake for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees

Crab Dip & Crackers
1 (8oz) pkg. cream cheese, 1/2 bottle cocktail sauce, 1 can crab meat (or frozen if
preferred), parsley( optional)
Spread the cream cheese evenly in a pie plate or on a tray.Gently make marks with a fork.
Add the cocktail sauce on top.Sprinkle parsley over it. Top with crab meat spreading
evenly. Serve with crackers! Easy to make the day before and refrigerate covered

Apple Dip
Needed: 8 oz. lowfat cream cheese, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup white
sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix all together until smooth. Slice your favorite apples to dip in it. Great for all

Baked Potatoes every which way
Take your favorite kind potatoes and bake them. Then serve with your favorite
toppings. Have a variety for the family to chose from. We like sour cream, bacon bits,
broccoli and cheese on ours. the kids like cut up hot dogs and melted cheese on theirs.
The sky is the limit and this can even be a meal with all the nutritious goodies added to

Super Cream Cheese Potatoes
Needed: 5 lbs. Red potatoes (washed and quartered), 8 ounces cream cheese, 8 ounces
sour cream,
1 stick butter, 1 head roasted garlic (see below), Onion powder, rosemary, salt &
pepper to taste, Milk, chicken broth or ½ & ½
Boil potatoes until tender. Drain. Add everything by milk and mix well. Use

Roasted Garlic
Cut the top off of one head of garlic. Put in oven at 400 degrees for approximately 30
minutes. Cool. Garlic should be soft. Peel or squeeze out of skin. Put garlic through a

Date and Nut Bread
Needed: 1 cup dates, 1 cup boiling water, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 egg,
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 cup chopped nuts
Dissolve dates and butter in boiling water, blend in egg and let cool. Add
rest of ingredients. Pour into bread tin and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Casino-Appetizers
8 oz can minced clams, 1/2 cup diced
onions, 1/2 cup diced celery, 1/2 cup bacon, diced
1/2 cup diced green peppers, 4 Tablespoons margarine, 2 Tablespoons flour
1 Tablespoon parmesan cheese, dash Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup bread crumbs
Brown celery, onions and green peppers in margarine. Stir in flour, cheese and
Worcestershire sauce.
Add 1/4 cup bread crumbs, mix well. stir in minced undrained clams. Cool.
Add bacon. Put mixture into clam shells, sprinkle bread crumbs on top and dot with butter.

Ez Baked Once Biscotti
Needed : 4 eggs, 1 cup Sugar
1 cup Cooking oil, 2tsp. Vanilla
31/2 cups Flour, 2tsp. Baking Power
1/16tsp. Baking Soda
Chocolate Chips/nuts optional (as always;)
In first bowl add dry ingredients
In another bowl cream sugar,eggs & vanilla-add oil and then mix in dry
ingredients. Blend in chips.
Lightly grease cookie sheet, wet hands and pour dough on to sheet making one big loaf.
(dough will look oily and be sticky (hence the wet hands to mold it).
Optional: Sprinkle a cinnamon and sugar mixture on top before backing. Bake 30 minutes at 350. When it cracks on top its done. Slice while warm. Cut loaf in half down the length, and then about 1 1/2" slices
down the sides. Enjoy!

Christmas Crackers
A Celtic tradition for Christmas dinner.
Using empty toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls cut in half, fill with assorted wrapped treats. Roll Tube in brightly colored tissue paper, twist ends and secure with ribbon. After dinner the children break open the crackers by pulling

Hacienda Dip
Needed: 2 - 8 oz. Packages of softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup salsa, dash
of onion and your choice of chips, crackers or veggie sticks ( celery,
cucumbers, zucchini and/ or carrots)
Mix then spread the cream cheese, salsa and salt in a microwave bowl
or pie plate until well blended. Microwave onhigh for 3- 4 minutes or
until thoroughly heated, remembering to stir every 1/1/2 - 2 minutes.
Makes about 2 cups and sever with the veggies or crackers.

Easy Macaroni Salad
Needed: Bag of small macaroni noodles, long onions, black and green olives,
mayonnaise& small amount of milk ( small shrimp optional) Cook the noodles according
to package instructions. Rinse and put in bowl. Add mixture of mayonnaise and milk. Cut
olives into slices and add in. Clean and slice long onions and add them. Add optional

Crab Stew
Needed: 1 can potato soup, 1 soup can of milk, 1 ( 7 1/2oz.) can
crabmeat, 4 tablespoons butter, 1/4 cup sherry * optional!
Heat soup and milk together. Add flaked crabmeat, butter ( and optional sherry)
Heat to just boiling point.
Favorite Spaetzle Chicken Soup
Needed:
2 cans (48 ounce each) Chicken Broth (Low Sodium is OK.), 2 chicken bouillon cubes, 2 bay
leaves,
Handful of baby carrots, 2 sticks celery, chopped, 1 onion, chopped
Put all ingredients in a pot. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about an hour.
Chicken breasts can be put in as well. Remove chicken from soup, chop and replace before
serving.

Spaetzle
Needed: 2 eggs, beaten, 1 ½ cups flour, ¾ cup water, 1 teaspoon garlic
powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder
Combine ingredients and beat until smooth. Pour batter into Spaetzle maker move basket
back and forth allowing dumplings to fall into the boiling chicken soup (above). After
spaetzle floats, it is done.
* You can strain out spaetzle, fry in butter and top with a cream sauce if you would like.

Cucumber and tomato salad
Needed: 2 whole tomatoes, 1-2 cucumbers and 1 red onion. Bottle Italian dressing.
Slice tomatoes, cucumbers and re onion and place in bowl. add Italian dressing on top and
chill in frig. before serving. Great to add to any buffet style meal.

Needed: 1 can peas, 1 boiled egg, 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 small onion (
